Silk Duvet Cover

One important point to remember with silk bedclothes is that there are more care issues than with most other fabrics. For instance, although you can simply throw it in the washing machine, it is only safe to do so if you are using detergent designed specifically for washing silk. Also, if the duvet cover has never been washed before, it is a good idea to perform a color fastness test to determine if the silk will stand up to being washed. If you need to remove a stain from a silk bedcover you should only ever use a very mild soap to do so.

Never put your silk duvet cover in the tumble dryer as the heat will damage it. Instead, wash it carefully and hang it to dry naturally.
